If you do not have copies of your prior-year returns, you can access your IRS tax and account transcripts online:

1. Visit: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
2. Click on “Individual Online Account.”
3. Sign in with your ID.me account (or create one if you don’t have it). This will require a government-issued ID, a selfie, and possibly a live video verification.
4. Once logged in, retrieve and download the following transcripts as PDFs:
• Return Transcript – summary of your filed return
• Account Transcript – details on IRS notices, penalties, interest, and payment activity
